Here&#8217;s a belated entry by Kate Ryan, recent winner of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.poetrymagazine.org\/ruth_lilly_prize.html\">Ruth Lilly Prize<\/a>. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>THE OTHER SHOE<\/p>\n<p>Oh if it were<br \/>\n<br \/>only the other<br \/>\n<br \/>shoe hanging<br \/>\n<br \/>in space before<br \/>\n<br \/>joining its mate.<br \/>\n<br \/>If the undropped<br \/>\n<br \/>didn&#8217;t congregate<br \/>\n<br \/>with the undropped.<br \/>\n<br \/>But nothing can<br \/>\n<br \/>stop the mid-air<br \/>\n<br \/>collusion of the<br \/>\n<br \/>unpaired above us<br \/>\n<br \/>acquiring density<br \/>\n<br \/>and weight.
