(Inspired by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insidehighered.com\/views\/2008\/02\/08\/jensen\">this sad little diatribe<\/a>, properly mocked <a href=\"http:\/\/cscs.umich.edu\/~crshalizi\/weblog\/561.html\">here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I have found that wearing a suit and tie is very effective if done <em>occasionally<\/em> with non-math-oriented students.
