The videos for the conference are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLV4bq2vDW158E3ZS0fjD2fiiv2ns8w6VF&#038;hl=es-419&#038;gl=CO\">now available<\/a>, including a couple by me:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ew_cNONhhKI&#038;list=PLV4bq2vDW158E3ZS0fjD2fiiv2ns8w6VF&#038;index=2\">God Is Not a Good Theory<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xv0mKsO2goA&#038;list=PLV4bq2vDW158E3ZS0fjD2fiiv2ns8w6VF&#038;index=16\">Poetic Naturalism<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(Traveling like crazy, as I&#8217;ve been doing this last year, doesn&#8217;t leave much time for real blogging, but at least there is an extensive video trail I can use for content.) Other speakers included Lara Buchak, William Stoeger, Joe Silk, and John Hawthorne. See the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLV4bq2vDW158E3ZS0fjD2fiiv2ns8w6VF&#038;hl=es-419&#038;gl=CO\">playlist<\/a> for videos of the question-and-answer sessions, which were posted separately.<\/p>\n<p>Those are formal talks with power point and the whole bit. But I also participated in dueling after-dinner talks at the conference banquet; that was fun, so I&#8217;ll post <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xRKA6OCSiZU&#038;list=PLV4bq2vDW158E3ZS0fjD2fiiv2ns8w6VF&#038;index=18\">the video<\/a> here. A University of Oxford and Cambridge Collaboration.\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"lL\" style=\"max-width:100%;width:640px;margin:5px;\"><\/div><\/p>\n<p>Note that I haven&#8217;t actually watched the video myself. And both speakers, if I recall correctly, had imbibed a glass of wine or two. So who knows what we actually said?<\/p>\n<p>In cases like this, the chance that people will respond to the actual contents of the videos rather than just the titles is vanishingly small, but I remain defiantly optimistic in the face of overwhelming evidence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this year I participated in an Oxford workshop entitled Is God Explanatory?
