Highlights include: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An article by Rachel Ivie on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.symmetrymagazine.org\/cms\/?p\">representation of women in physics<\/a>.  It&#8217;s certainly growing, just taking a while to catch up to other fields.  Still a long way to go.\n<li>An introduction to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.symmetrymagazine.org\/cms\/?p\">plasma acceleration<\/a> as a new technology for particle colliders.  This is the kind of radical new technology that will make future ultra-high-energy accelerators possible.  Quantum Diaries blogger <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.quantumdiaries.org\/13\" \/>Caolionn O&#8217;Connell<\/a> is quoted extensively.\n<li> Barry Barrish on progress towards an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.symmetrymagazine.org\/cms\/?p\">International Linear Collider<\/a>.  It&#8217;s good to have someone so sensible in charge of the effort.
